Aston Marina Stone (Trent & Mersey Canal) to Fazeley Mill Marina.  This a trip of 31 miles and 8 Locks.

We’ll expect our guests to arrive about 1.30pm and after an introductory blah blah (and most probably a glass of something fizzy) we’ll depart Stone and put in an hour or so chugging (depending on the weather) before stopping for our 1st night together around Weston.

The next morning (after a simple DIY breakfast), we’ll chug off and make our way through Great Haywood and Rugeley (probably for lunchtime) then aim to end the day after Handsacre – possibly around Kings Bromley Wharf.

Day 3 will see us work our way down Fradley top 2 locks and then turn right on to the Coventry Canal.  We’ll probably moor for the day on the visitor moorings just after the junction – this will give folks the opportunity to have a walk back to Fradley… perhaps to go to the Swan Pub or the CRT information centre and coffee shop.

Day 4 will find us meandering our way along the Coventry canal – probably an early lunch stop in Huddlesford for the pub (if it’s open) or a bit farther on for a visit to the Dog Inn, The Bell or Swan Inn at Wittington - all 3 if folks are so minded J .

Our final day’s travel will see us to Fazeley Junction (probably topping up the water tank) and then turning right onto the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal where we’ll moor for our final night together – either on the approach to the marina entrance of if we’ve managed to secure a visitor mooring, in the marina itself.

This trip will end following breakfast the following morning when guests will depart to make their way home -  whilst Ellis is prepped for the next leg of her journey.

As this isn’t a particularly long or difficult trip, none of the stopping places are set in stone – Ellis aims to ‘chug’ for about 4 hours each day + water/refuse stops.  This means there is plenty of scope to explore the villages and towns we pass through .
